This past weekend I was part of one of the most fun, albeit super humid and hot, weddings this Summer! I've been honored to follow Dana and Mark along their journey from their first engagement session last year to their winter engagement session earlier this year, and now their wedding! I've grown to love this outgoing, energetic, and fun-loving couple, and I can't wait to share these MAGICAL photos with you all!
We wanted to capture the details of Dana's beautiful dress and accessories on her big day! The floral detailing on her dress and the pearls on her veil that we used for her accessory photos added the perfect touch of elegance! And, of course, we had to include the image of the groom's gift to the bride - a heartfelt and touching letter and beautiful diamond earrings!
Dana also mentioned that she was excited to see photos of her and her best friends getting ready before the wedding. So, we captured a few pictures of Dana and her lovely bridesmaids as they got ready for the ceremony!
Many private and very intimate moments during Dana and Mark's ceremony felt integral to who they are as individuals and as two souls and families coming together in unity. They wanted to ensure that Jewish traditions were upheld throughout their big day, which included a very personal Kabbalah of Marriage, celebrating the connection of two souls into one. Along with the private Kabbalah ceremony, we wanted to have the other intimate moments, including the bride and groom's first look, Dana getting to see her father and step-father for the first time after getting ready, as well as Mark's mother helping him with his boutonnière as the groomsmen put together the final touches on their outfits before heading out to the main event!
Amid the hot and humid day, a storm came rumbling in with a downpour following along in the middle of the pre-ceremony photoshoot! Despite the rain, the high temps seemed to climb even higher, and the air was so humid you could drink it, but that never erased the smiles of anyone, wedding party and guests included! Then, miraculously, the downpour left as quickly and unexpectedly as it came, just in time for the outdoor ceremony!
Sweet smiles and laughter were everywhere throughout the ceremony as Dana and Mark finally said, "I do!" These two high-school sweethearts began as best friends, becoming inseparable as their love grew more powerful, and now their two souls have finally come together as one! Throughout the years of love and laughter, not only did Dana and Mark grow closer, but their family and friends did as well, which was overwhelmingly apparent as joy radiated from their guests throughout the ceremony and on throughout the night.
We got to see the sweet and sentimental moments throughout the day, but the reception is where Dana and Mark's personalities truly shined! They both love to find joy and fun in life, which was easy to see as their reception started with a choreographed first dance that transitioned from a sweet and slow love song into energized hip hop that livened the spirits of everyone in the room! The night was filled with laughter, cake, and plenty of dancing, including the Jewish Hora Dance to celebrate the joyous celebration of Dana and Mark's new titles of Husband and Wife!
It was a treat to follow along their incredible journey and get to know them along the way. The humidity and heat couldn't stop us if they wanted to with the years of love, laughter, and happiness in the air.
