This week you all are going to see some familiar faces because we finally got to celebrate Tess & Alexi's wedding day! You may remember we featured Tess & Alexi's stunning engagement session at the Garfield Park Conservatory last year, but wait until you see their wedding photos!
This couple had a date with fate in September of 2014 when Tess saw Alexi running to catch their Oklahoma State University bus - she said that even through the dirty bus window, she could tell how handsome he was! And the feelings were mutual once Alexi saw an empty seat next to a stunning girl holding a bag with the Greek flag on it - he said he felt like he had won the lottery at that very moment and knew he just had to talk to her (how sweet)!! And now, nearly seven years later, these two have tied the knot!
Both Tess and Alexi were shocked to have found a fellow Greek in Oklahoma (which is pretty rare!), so that alone had to be a sign that they were meant for each other, right? Well, Alexi said the actual moment he knew she was the one was when he realized how much she cared for him. Alexi didn't want to be "just another boy" to Tess, and he said he could tell how genuine she was toward their relationship, and Tess agrees! She mentioned that she felt a growing comfort and friendship within their relationship that bloomed into a beautiful, real love that these two now share.
Whether it's a lovely adventure through Chicagoland during the Summer when they were in college or just getting to be a kid again while eating Kraft Mac and Cheese and playing Mario Kart on the Wii after class, Tess and Alexi have so many fond stories they reflected back on as they told us about their relationship! One of the most memorable, though, was their walk through Scissortail Park in Oklahoma City on Tess' birthday one year, where the two stopped for some pictures, and Alexi got down on one knee and popped the question! The day was more perfect than either of them could have imagined.
Although we may be a little biased, I would say their wedding day was also absolute PERFECTION! The entire day was a blast from getting ready with their bridesmaids and groomsmen to their ceremony at the stunning Saint Athanasios Greek Orthodox Church, and then finally to Abbington Banquets, where both the Bride's bouquet and some crazy good moves were thrown down on the dance floor. Tess wanted as many memories from each special moment to be captured, so we made sure to sprinkle in a little bit of everything! We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for including us in such a beautiful, harmonious, and blessed day. We hope you had just as much fun (and hopefully even more fun than us!) as we did just getting to be there to witness two soulmates complete each other in the union of marriage. We hope to keep in touch for years to come - Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Bollwerk!
