Two people whose eyes smile and twinkle, and shine even brighter when looking at one another, Jenni & Rob have found their forever home within each other's company. This week we're seeing a couple more familiar faces from our summer engagement sessions last year! When Jenni and Rob first met, they connected online in the month of June, and by July they were sharing slices of pizza and laughter in comfort that can only be found in one's other half. And now, this June, Jenni and Rob have carved their love into eternity as they became Mr. and Mrs. Wilson!
Some people worry about the way their partner will interact with and treat them, but Jenni and Rob have never even had that worry enter their minds. Jenni said Rob is always there to genuinely listen and communicate with her about her feelings without worry of being embarrassed or judged. (And that even extends to Rob teaching Jenni all about football!) She said she loves how he makes every little thing, and the big things too, feel as if they were always supposed to be this way.
And, in case you missed their proposal story last year, we want to share it with you again! Jenni and Rob often enjoy walks along the lake at sunset, basking in the warm sunlight while taking in the gorgeous views. On one particular walk along the lake, with the sun setting on the horizon Jenni and Rob sat down to marvel at the beauty of nature. Among those beauties were the lively leaves that were being rustled around by the windy weather that day, which drew Jenni's attention up toward the tree they were sitting next to. After the rustling leaves quieted, and Jenni looked back down, she was in shock to find Rob on one knee, waiting to ask for her hand in marriage! With a beaming smile and gleaming, teary eyes, Jenni said yes a thousand times over!
This proposal and coming together of two families is a very big deal for both Jenni and Rob! Rob has two lovely children, Avery and Charlie, who he cares for deeply (saying they are his world may be an understatement). Jenni mentioned that she has always admired how Rob always puts his family first, and Rob has been thrilled with how seamlessly Jenni fit into the family and interacted with his children. With an inherent passion for caring for children as a high school teacher, Jenni was so excited to be a part of this family, and now, she is officially a Wilson! We began Jenni and Rob's magical wedding day with the gals getting ready at a private residence before heading to Makray to show off the lovely Jenni in her stunning gown! After capturing some heartfelt moments between Jenni, her dad and brothers during their first look, and some fun shots with the bridesmaids, it was time to head inside for their ceremony! Looking upon each other with fond, smiling eyes, Jenni and Rob said I do - and then it was time for some fun shots outside while the amazing staff at Makray transformed the ceremony room into the most splendid reception area. We got some fun photos with the bridal party, kiddos, and some portraits of the newlyweds around the charming grounds of Makray Memorial Golf Club. And, eventually, it was time for the bride and groom to make their grand entrance, eat some tasty cake, and share their first dance! Alongside the enchanting cake from Lovin Ovens, there was also a special cake just for Rob! After sharing these special moments, we ran outside to grab some sunset shots before dancing the rest of the night away. To Jenni and Rob - it was an honor to get to know you all, your sweet children, and the kindest family and friends. We hope that your eyes always keep that twinkle of true love and that your fondness for one another continues to grow indefinitely - Congratulations again, to Mr. and Mrs. Wilson!
