Although people like to give online dating a bad rap, Jessica and Jake's story is one of true love and joy, and they met on Match!! Finding both humor and kindness in a relationship right off the bat can be difficult for some, but Jake immediately saw Jess' immense kindness, and Jess thought Jake was as funny and sweet as could be! And now, they will have years of love and laughter to come as Mr. and Mrs. Cashman!
We love asking our couples, "What was the one moment that you just KNEW they were the one?" and Jessica and Jake's answer was precious! On their fourth date, Jess and Jake went to the Shedd Aquarium together to marvel at all of the beautiful wonders of nature. However, while they were there, with Jess being the huge animal lover she is, she began to feel sad for the fish. Jake was in awe at the intensity of Jess' compassion for the lives of others, human or animal, and knew at that moment that she was the one for him!
Jake has been known to do anything to bring a smile to Jess' face, including jumping off a trapeze into a foam pit at a trampoline park not once but twice, just because he loved seeing her face light up with laughter. On one beautiful day, Jess and Jake were on their way to a Jack Johnson concert by the lakefront in Chicago when Jake took Jess for a walk along the lakefront. During their walk, with the gorgeous Chicagoland Skyline in the background, Jake brought yet another ear-to-ear smile (and maybe a few tears) to Jess' face when he got down on one knee and proposed! After a few times repeating, "Oh my gosh, are you serious??" Jess said yes, and the rest is history!
Just like the day Jake proposed, Jess and Jake's wedding day was nothing short of perfection! After getting ready in the morning, the bride and her bridesmaids headed back to her parent's home to do a reveal, and then it was off to the church for the ceremony! After a beautiful ceremony at St. Daniel the Prophet Church, we headed to Oak Trace to capture some fun memories on their gorgeous outdoor facilities with the bride, groom, and bridal party. Then it was time to head to Carlisle Banquets, where we dance the night away with the help of a phenomenal pannist on the steelpan drums and even a guest appearance from Elvis himself!
Whether they're rocking some Mickey Mouse ears at Disneyland or traveling to new places together to catch up with some friends, Jess and Jake will always be filled with joy as long as they have one another by their side. Thank you so much for entrusting us with the mission of capturing all the love shared between the two of you and your family and friends! Congratulations again to the lovely Mr. and Mrs. Cashman!
